Solution This happens because the MSI (Microsoft Installer) on CD does not recognize the update made with the InstallShield updater used by the 3ds max 5.1 download. We recommend reinstalling 3ds max 5.1 from the CD. This will update the MSI information on your system and avoid conflicts with future updates of 3ds max or character studio Note: The installation process will not not modify, change, rename or tamper with the C-Dilla folder.
